Assistance claim 

Full support of a claim in the event of a disability, critical illness and/or long-term care by a team of professionals familiar with the world of insurance.

  • To complete claim forms
  • Steps from the insurers, of the treating physician and specialists
  • Report describing the state of the situation
  • Identification of the relevant elements for the fast processing of the claim
  • Follow up the folder throughout the restoration and until the return-to-work
  • In case of a claim, up to 2 hours of psychological intervention in connection with the claim via an external firm
  • Support death : In case of a claim, up to one (1) hour telephone response for the steps and important information during the settlement of an estate – Assistance claim in case of death to the final delivery of the property to the heirs – Inventory of the safety deposit box, determination of heirs, obtaining proof of death, will search, inventory of property, publication of notice.

Psychological Assistance * 

This service is available at a claim : one (1) consultation with a maximum duration of one hour.

  • Across Canada, depending on the availability of providers in a given region
  • Reminder of a professional in a period of 48 to 72 hours after the opening of the folder (for non-emergency situations)
  • Contact immediately with a psychologist at psychological distress
  • Simplified access to psychological help, in person or by phone

Covers 6 categories of problems : Emotional : Stress, grief, important decision-making, assertiveness, isolation, etc; Marital : Couple relationship, sex life, separation, divorce, conflict, communication problems, etc; Family : Education of children, aging parents, blended family, communication, disruptive behaviors, etc; Professionals : Career, job satisfaction, burnout, interpersonal relationships, adaptation to change, harassment, trauma in the workplace, etc; Physical : Chronic illness, depression, anxiety, fatigue, sleep disorder, etc; Dependencies : Drugs, alcohol, gambling, etc

Legal Assistance *

Helpline is a confidential and unlimited to discuss directly with lawyers and notaries experienced.

Allows you to quickly obtain free and reliable information, answers and solutions to various legal problems in addition to benefit from a personalized approach, step-by-step, to know where to start.

  • Lawyers available Monday to Friday from 9 am to 20 pm and Saturday from 9 am to 17 pm except holidays
  • Reminder of a lawyer within a maximum period of 48 hours after the opening of the folder during the working days
  • No survey or no exchange of documents
  • Do not cover the situations that are not governed by the provincial and/or federal
  • Network of trusted partners outside of Quebec

All costs related professionals and vendors that are directly borne by the users.

             

Travel Assistance * : 24 hours on 24, 7 days on 7

Interpreters available in the need for emergency medical and non-medical

An assistance service to travellers and expatriates who are facing a medical emergency or other when they are staying abroad or outside of their province.

A team of workers, assistance for qualified, nurses, and physicians specializing in the care of emergency and travel assistance.

Travel assistance covers two (2) phases :

  1. Pane before starting :

Phone Service, unlimited, free, for more information and reliable advice.

Qualified nurses respond to questions about the health :

  • Vaccines, health precautions, related to the destination or related to a state of health
  • List of things to include in a first aid kit

Of the loaded support skilled respond to general questions :

  • Telephone numbers, and codes of foreign countries (consulates, insurance, etc)
  • Exchange rate, foreign currency, time zones, passports, visas or other documents required
  1. Pane in the course of the voyage Medical Assistance :
  • References to the health facility during a medical emergency

Assistance for non-medical :

  • Assistance in case of loss or theft of baggage, tickets, identity papers,
  • Assistance with trip interruption or trip to the emergency
  • Help for advances of funds or to increase credit card limit
  • Help in case of language barriers, or in the event of legal problems
  • Help to obtain a prescription in the region where the member
  • Reference to the competent authorities, to legal resources, to the embassy, the consulate in the country where the person resides, in case of difficult situations

 

Travel Assistance is a service that does not cover the costs incurred before or during the trip.

 

Support recovery *

24 hours on 24, 7 days on 7

Comes to the aid of people who need to recover from an injury, surgery or disease. Throughout his recovery, the individual can obtain references in order to receive help at home (meals, bathing, cleaning, snow removal, lawn mowing, etc).

A nurse analyzes the needs of the person in recovery and answered his questions. It recommends services to assist and facilitate contacts with the latter.

Assistance in recovery offer to the person in recovery, two (2) levels of service :

  1. The component reference provides information on the resources available in the area of domestic life (meals at home, housekeeper, etc) and help with daily living (hygiene care and comfort).
  1. The component coordination provides assistance in the planning of home care services. A nurse takes the phone with the person in recovery, a needs analysis. Subsequently, the nurse sees in the planning of services with reliable partners. The nurses also provide a follow up with the person in recovery in order to adapt the plan of recovery need.

All costs related to professionals, suppliers, and partners are directly in charge of the insured.

Assistance to Access health *

  • Bilingual Service, 24 hours on 24, 7 days on 7
  • Information and advice only : no diagnosis can be made by phone
  • Reminder inside an hour if no nurse is available immediately
  • In the event of a medical emergency, the nurse will recommend to hang up and dial 911
  • Four (4) categories of questions : general health, immunization, care of children, taken drugs or natural products
